About the host

About Death podcast host, Sam Meikle, is on a journey to explore how she thinks, feels and talk about death and dying. She invites you to join her on this journey.

It all started when…

Sam started to have a conversation with her Dad before she "needed" to (he's fit, healthy and active). Because Sam realised that even though she was his Power of Attorney, she didn't know what was important to her Dad. She didn't know his preferences and wishes for living well and dying well.

Sam found these conversations with her Dad quite difficult. She didn't know what to say most of the time and was worried about upsetting everyone. She wanted to improve her confidence and ability to talk about hard things before it was too late.

So Sam started to listening to how other people think, feel and talk about death and dying.

This podcast shares these conversations.
