Having effective and meaningful conversations about wellbeing in the workplace

This time last week we were working with the great team at Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria (AHSN NENC), delivering our third training conference together. It was all about supporting people to have effective and meaningful conversations about wellbeing at work.

100 professionals came together from across health, care, education, and the voluntary and community sectors. Everyone showed such genuine care for people – their teams, their colleagues, their patients, clients and service users – and there was a strong commitment to improve wellbeing for all.

We are now gearing up to launch our next round of Action Learning Sets in October. These online sessions support conference delegates to embed learning into practice. The generosity of shared insights and approaches in the August cohort was incredible; and we’re sure there will be more of the same this time around.

The final photo is of the atmospheric River Wear and Durham Cathedral, which gave us a moment of reflection before our journey home. Thank you for the warm welcome, North East and North Cumbria (despite the rain!). See you again soon.
